First day of Kindergarten, over.
She cried.
Mom cried.
Dad…was strong…
She came home full of life and stories.
And she was fine, without us.
We played “Moose in the House” with our Kindergartener.
Mom planned Day 2.
And everyone went to bed. Except me.
She’s going back tomorrow.
She’s fine.
Mom’s fine.
And I’m….strong.

You made it through the first day! They all get easier, well HS for me was the most emotional one, not certain why, but i made it.

Aaaawwww….so sweet. I had a 5th grader and a 1st grader and I still cried. I am sure come Sept. 8th when my baby starts preschool I will be a blubbering mess!!
My youngest of three starts kindergarten Friday. There may be a tear or two shed during my happy dance, but somehow, I doubt it.

When pre school or day care comes our house will be one big cry fest. Nice post.
Mine are going into 9th, 4th and 2nd next week and I still cry everytime… maybe I can try to be strong like you!

my baby girl started 5th grade a few days ago…no different than first day of kindergarten and i was also strong…sort of.
Hang in there pal….it gets easier…a little…
Poor Jay. No one ever tells you how hard it can be. (I wouldn't know. I've always done the happy dance when my kids go to school). Kidding. Kidding. The hardest part for me is dealing with the friend stuff……..

I hear you. My kids start therapy/preschool in the fall, and I am going to try to stay strong. I think I'll be sad to see them go the first day.
